Global Talent Mentoring presents its concept at the VDI Instagram Channel

On the Insta­gram chan­nel @vdi_technikhelden, the world­wide men­tor­ing pro­gram for the pro­mo­tion of excel­lence in STEMM shows its many facets for sev­en days!

The world­wide men­tor­ing pro­gram Glob­al Tal­ent Men­tor­ing and the Asso­ci­a­tion of Ger­man Engi­neers (VDI) share a com­mon pas­sion: an inter­est in sci­ence and tech­ni­cal inno­va­tions. This is why the VDI has invit­ed the online men­tor­ing pro­gram Glob­al Tal­ent Men­tor­ing to present the dif­fer­ent facets of the men­tor­ing pro­gram in a so-called “Insta­gram Takeover” on its Insta­gram chan­nel @vdi_technikhelden for one week from 3 to 9 August.

The Insta­gram chan­nel @vdi_technikhelden is an offer from VDI employ­ees for VDI mem­bers, vol­un­teers, and engi­neers who belong to a mod­ern, tech-savvy tar­get group. With around 145,000 mem­bers, the VDI is the largest tech­ni­cal-sci­en­tif­ic asso­ci­a­tion in Ger­many. In 2019, the team of the Insta­gram chan­nel @vdi_technikhelden received the medi­aV-Award for “Best Use of Social Media” from the lead­ing Ger­man pub­li­ca­tion on the activ­i­ties of asso­ci­a­tions, Ver­bän­dere­port, for its orig­i­nal approach and ground­break­ing work.

Dur­ing the Insta­gram takeover, Glob­al Tal­ent Men­tor­ing will answer ques­tions such as: In which phas­es of life is men­tor­ing impor­tant? How do you rec­og­nize a good men­tor­ing pro­gram? Why are female role mod­els so impor­tant for get­ting girls excit­ed about sci­ence, tech­nol­o­gy, engi­neer­ing, and math­e­mat­ics (STEM)? The team from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Regens­burg will pro­vide infor­ma­tion about these and oth­er excit­ing aspects of Glob­al Tal­ent Men­tor­ing dur­ing the takeover with its post­ings. The fol­low­ers will gain insights into the cur­rent state of research on the top­ic of tal­ent devel­op­ment and learn how effec­tive men­tor­ing works. Take a look at it and be inspired!
