The University of Regensburg is pleased to announce a new partnership between its university-hosted mentoring program Global Talent Mentoring and IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization.
Global Talent Mentoring, an online mentoring program based in Germany and the United Arab Emirates facilitating advanced talent development and innovation in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and the medical sciences (STEMM), will collaborate with IEEE on a new effort to pair professional technologists with aspiring students. Mentors from across the globe will have a unique opportunity to support talented youth regardless of their geographical, financial, and cultural background by sharing their expertise and providing possible opportunities for collaboration on scientific research studies. The program is designed to provide improvements to existing STEMM talent development and encourage an environment that provides an avenue for making a broader impact on society by sharing STEMM expertise with the next generation of leaders. IEEE and Global Talent Mentoring will work together to identify STEMM-expert mentor volunteers from across the globe to better serve the needs of the outstanding young mentees in the mentoring program. Mentors will be expected to make an annual commitment to the program.
