Global Talent Mentoring presented at international UNESCO task force in Dubai

Prof. Dr. Hei­drun Stoeger was invit­ed to speak at the annu­al meet­ing of the UNESCO Inter­na­tion­al Task Force on Teach­ers for Edu­ca­tion 2030 on 9 Decem­ber 2019 in Dubai (UAE). She spoke about Glob­al Tal­ent Men­tor­ing, our online men­tor­ing pro­gram for the world’s most out­stand­ing, high­ly moti­vat­ed youths in sci­ence, tech­nol­o­gy, engi­neer­ing, math­e­mat­ics, and med­ical sci­ences (STEMM). Glob­al Tal­ent Men­tor­ing is being devel­oped by Prof. Dr. Stoeger and her team of researchers for the Ham­dan Bin Rashid Al Mak­toum Foun­da­tion for Dis­tin­guished Aca­d­e­m­ic Per­for­mance (Dubai, UAE). The Inter­na­tion­al Task Force on Teach­ers for Edu­ca­tion, con­sist­ing of 143 mem­ber orga­ni­za­tions from 90 coun­tries, is an under­tak­ing by the UNESCO ini­tia­tive Edu­ca­tion for All (EFA). The task force is mobi­liz­ing gov­ern­ments and oth­er stake­hold­ers for the advance­ment of teach­ers and qual­i­ty teach­ing. At the annu­al meet­ing of the task force, the Twelfth Pol­i­cy Dia­logue Forum in Dubai, Prof. Dr. Stoeger shared with the del­e­gates the pow­er of online men­tor­ing and net­work­ing to help coun­tries devel­op their nation­al STEMM tal­ent pools.
