About the institution
The Association of Hungarian Talent Support Organizations (MATEHETSZ – an acronym from the Hungarian name) is a non-profit umbrella organization that legally represents its members and the National Talent Support Council. It contributes to the unfolding and utilization of talent by identifying, supporting, and developing highly gifted youth. It manages the priority project called National Talent Point, the European Talent Centre, Budapest, and ran over 30 projects using various fundings (e.g., the National Talent Programme, the European Union, the Templeton Foundation) aiming to find support for young talents, help their educators, and create a talent-friendly environment in the country. In the last 5 years more than 35,000 youngsters have been supported through its programs.
The Association has been a corporate member of the European Council for High Ability since 2010 and an affiliate member of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children since 2011.
