About the institution

Kumasi Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­si­ty (KsTU) is a pub­lic ter­tiary insti­tu­tion sit­u­at­ed in Kumasi, Ghana. Estab­lished in 1954, KsTU pro­vides high cal­iber edu­ca­tion and train­ing in man­u­fac­tur­ing, com­merce, sci­ence, and tech­nol­o­gy to act as a cat­a­lyst for tech­no­log­i­cal devel­op­ment. The mis­sion of KsTU is to cre­ate a favor­able envi­ron­ment for teach­ing, research, skills, and entre­pre­neur­ship train­ing in sci­ence, tech­nol­o­gy, and applied social sci­ences for indus­tri­al and com­mu­ni­ty devel­op­ment. KsTU is com­posed of sev­en fac­ul­ties and schools: Busi­ness School, Fac­ul­ty of Applied Sci­ences and Tech­nol­o­gy, Fac­ul­ty of Built and Nat­ur­al Envi­ron­ment, Fac­ul­ty of Cre­ative Arts and Tech­nol­o­gy, Fac­ul­ty of Entre­pre­neur­ship and Enter­prise Devel­op­ment, and Fac­ul­ty of Health Sciences.
