GIS-Trans­fer­Center (GIS-TC) is a non-gov­ern­men­tal orga­ni­za­tion with a non-prof­it pur­pose for pub­lic ben­e­fit, found­ed by the Bul­gar­i­an Acad­e­my of Sci­ences, Sofia Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­si­ty, and oth­er legal enti­ties and indi­vid­u­als. The mis­sion of GIS-TC is to sup­port knowl­edge and tech­nol­o­gy trans­fer and inno­va­tion at the nation­al lev­el by assist­ing the col­lab­o­ra­tion and coop­er­a­tion between research orga­ni­za­tions, indus­try, and soci­ety. GIS-TC has the capac­i­ty to pro­vide tech­nol­o­gy and inno­va­tion advi­so­ry ser­vices for research and inno­va­tion coop­er­a­tion, knowl­edge and tech­nol­o­gy trans­fer and research part­ner­ships, IPR advi­so­ry ser­vices, inno­v­a­tive clus­ter­ing, inno­va­tion man­age­ment ser­vices focused on dig­i­tal­iza­tion, automa­tion, ener­gy effec­tive­ness and eco-inno­va­tion, project devel­op­ment, and man­age­ment, co-orga­ni­za­tion of B2B events, com­pa­ny research mis­sions, train­ing cours­es, and webi­na­rs at the region­al and inter­na­tion­al lev­el. GIS-TC affirmed its posi­tion as a lead­ing orga­ni­za­tion in sup­port of knowl­edge and tech­nol­o­gy trans­fer by host­ing the Bul­gar­i­an Net­work of Tech­nol­o­gy Trans­fer com­pris­ing 30 such offices and centers.
