About the institution

CTY Ireland is a program for high-ability students aged 6 to 17 from Ireland and abroad. Participating students take college-level courses while still at school. CTY Ireland runs Saturday, summer, and correspondence courses for academically talented students, and also an early university entrance program. As well as running classes, CTY Ireland participates in numerous research projects for gifted children with partners in Europe and the United States. CTY Ireland was established at Dublin City University in 1992 and, since its first summer program in 1993, over 50,000 students have attended or participated in courses.
