I Love My STEMM Subject Because
Since I was very young, I have been interested in and fascinated by science. After my first expedition to Silicon Valley, I started focusing on Computer Science (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and I realized my first projects. I am also interested in medicine and the implementation of AI and ML as pacemakers in future research for better diagnostics and novel therapies in healthcare. I started with small STEM projects very early on. In 2019, my team partner and I developed the project ‘Fall Detection App/AI,’ which we were asked to present at the AI CON of BOSCH, an annual international Artificial Intelligence conference with experts from industry and academia. In 2020, we started the project ‘Vine Leaf Disease and AI,’ now called “MAIWY,” an APP/AI solution for detection and classification of vine leaf pests. The project was awarded several prizes in national pupil competitions, such as BWKI, Jugend Forscht, and Jugend Gründet. I am increasingly fascinated by the interdisciplinarity and variety of machine learning applications, their emerging possibilities, ethical considerations, and potential impact on our everyday lives.
